Where can I find more information about the Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) and the capital projects it funds?
The Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) is a voter-approved, one-percent local sales tax used to fund capital improvement projects such as roads, public safety facilities, equipment, parks, and other long-term infrastructure needs. SPLOST funds can only be used for specific projects approved by voters and cannot be used for general operating expenses.
